5 Days Gorilla Safari in Uganda and Rwanda
This is a 5 Days gorilla safari in Uganda and Rwanda taking you for the best gorilla trekking experience : tracking the rare mountain gorillas in both Parc nationale des Volcans (PNV) in Rwanda and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda. This gorilla safari starts from Uganda and ends in Rwanda. Please note that this gorilla trip can be changed to start in Rwanda and end in Uganda. It can also be tailored to include other adventure activities.
ITINERARY
Day One Kampala City – Gorilla Park (Kisoro Side)
Drive to Kisoro in the early morning South West of Uganda to Mgahinga National Park . You will have lunch in Kabale to continue through a road that takes you through the marvelous landscapes referred to “Switzerland of Africa”. While traveling look out through the window to see mountains, hills with terraces, rainforests and bamboo forests. This journey takes about 9 hours. You will rest, have dinner and spend the night at Hotel of choice (LD)
Day Two Gorilla trekking
Go for a whole day Gorilla tracking to check out the Nkuringo group in South Bwindi and Nyakagyezi group in Mgahinga National Park. Tracking gorillas is a tedious activity but observing these giants play, feed and interact erases the poor memories of finding them. Overnight at your hotel of choice (BLD)
Day Three transfer to Rwanda
Early after break fast, head to Rwanda via Kisoro and cross the Rwandan Border to Ruhengeri. Spend the night at hotel / lodge of your choice. (BLD)
Day Four Gorilla trekking in Rwanda
Go for briefing by the guide at Ruhengeri Park headquarters in Pac de volcanoes to begin trekking at 9:00am. The time you will spend tracking these peaceful apes will depend on their movement. After see the gorillas drive back to hotel / lodge for dinner and overnight. (BLD)
Day Five Rwanda gorilla Park – Kigali Airport or return back to Uganda
In the morning drive to Kigali Airport or return back to Kampala to have a lunch stop in Kabale and then proceed to reach in the evening.
