After a hearty breakfast, move to the park head quarters for briefing before the start of the tracking. You will be guided through a thick impenetrable forest, pushing down succulent vegetation through to the gorillas. Sitting amongst gorillas as they murmur and grumble is such a fantastic experience. You will have photographic opportunities so close to our close relatives. You are strongly encouraged to have packed lunch, 2litres of water, jungle boots, rain gears,and back pack.
After breakfast, transfer to Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park, search for famous tree climbing lions. If lucky, the cats may be seen up in low inclined fig trees resting after a good meal. You will also at close range see the topis, elephants, Kobs and primates on your way to Mweya. Have lunch en route.In the afternoon proceed to Mweya and take game drive to scenic crater region. Dinner and Overnight at
After an early morning coffee, proceed for game drive through the Kasenyi We arelooking for the cats, the lions and the hyenas. You will be mesmerized by the spectacular Kob lech in the mating ground where they mix with other antelopes and the cape buffalos. Return to hotel for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, board the launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. This takes 3 hours and you will come in close range with wildlife; large schools of Hippo, herds of cape buffalo and elephants in shallows wallowing and drinking water by the shores of the river. Hippo huffs barely a feet away in the shallows. You will see lots of water lovers; pied kingfisher, malachite king fisher, fish eagles, com rants, gulls, geese, warblers, spar wings, pink backed pelicans. You will also see crocodiles. In the evening you proceed to fort portal for dinner and overnight.
After a hearty breakfast, proceed to Kibale forest National Park. Kanyanchu River camp is the centre of the major tourism activities. The friendly and experienced tour guides will share their knowledge with you on primates, birds, elephants, butterflies, reptiles, amphibians, trees, medicinal plants and chimpanzees. Report to tourist center for briefing and the walk starts from Kanyanchu river camp at 8:00am or 3:00 pm and lasts for2-4 hours and is the most popular walk. Its restricted to three groups of six persons each,in the morning and the same number in the after noon.
You will be guided to the chimps and along the way you will come very close to other primates; the red tailed monkey, the grey checked mangabey, the L’hoest monkey,red colobus monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and of course the chimpanzees.You may have a chance to see the blue turaco and silver headed hornbill. After lunch in Fort portal, return to Kampala arriving late in the evening and drive back to Entebbe to catch your evening flight back home.
