Depending on the time of arrival we can show you some interesting sites of Kampala.
We will bring you to you place where you can rest and prepare yourself for the start of our Journey through the pearl.
The biggest city on the north side of Kampala where the river Nile starts and where the industry of Uganda can be found is called Jinja. This town is common known for its colonial past. You still see the Victorian style structures around here.
Also there are many activities on the water. Like rafting, canoeing jet boating but also biking around the city.The activities are optional and on own expenses.
In and around Jinja there are many activities that you can choose from. Our assistant is willing to advice you and help you with choosing the activity that’s most suitable for you. All these activities are on own expenses.
The activities are:
Mount Ergon is known by its many water falls. But the most known water fall has a drop of 95m. But this place is also know being the origin of the coffee in Uganda. Together with our assistant you can discover the many secrets this place contains.
Today you will walk through paradise. Prepare yourself for a 3 hour or a 7 hour hike.
This day you will move with a local guide to discover the flora, fauna and culture around this mountain.
Today we will leave early morning to start our journey to Murchison falls. During our journey we will pass through Mabira forest. This forest is known of the monkeys that we can find on the way, where nature will meet beauty.
Explore this park like the ones who found it the brothers Samuel and Florence Baker, the park is named after the president of Royal Geographic Society, Roderick Murchison in 1864.
Here you can see the Rothschild Giraffe, the elephants, heart beast and many other birds and animals. After the game drive and lunch we will take a boat ride on the Nile and come close to the falls.
Early morning we will leave Murchison falls for the direction of Kibale forest. On our way we expect to see different geographic views. During this tour you will see the development of Uganda as a country.
How villages grow in to trading centers in to towns and cities. Before we reach Fort Portal we will see the forest. Fort Portal is the city where the king of Toro kingdom lives.
On this day you can find out yourself how much humans and primates are look a likes. Perhaps you see something of your self in them. Discover the primates in there natural habitat. Together with a ranger you will walk through this old forest. Also you will find many birds and butterflies.
Today we will visit Fort Portal town and the caves with the waterfall. If you are lucky you can see a flying sniper. When a local guide takes you in to the cave of the breast. Because the king removed the breasts of his daughter she was too beautiful.
Find out the whole story yourself in this cave. After the cave you will walk through the many craters.
In 1952 this park was founded but it got its name with the visit of the Queen of England in May 1954, when she spend 1 night in a special for her constructed house in this park. Queen Elizabeth national park is Uganda’s second largest park near the Rwenzori mountains.
Here you can find lake Edward and George. And also the second most beautiful lake in the world called, lake Nyamununka, a former salt lake. This national park you can find a big variety of bird species and animals like the warthog (Pumba), hippo’s, elephants and many other animals.
Today we will travel to the deepest lake of Uganda. This lake contains 27 small islands. This lake is bilharzia-free so you can even swim here. Around this lake there is a variety of birds and sceneries. This is one of the beautifulest places to stay.
Today we will spent a day to relax. This doesn’t mean there is nothing to do. There are a lot of optionals like: visiting communities, butter trail, birding, canoeing, swimming and etc. All these options are not included in the package. Our assistant is willing to help you to get what you like.
On our way we will see a variety of landscapes. Just a few hours drive we will reach the smallest of the national parks of Uganda. But it’s the home of more than 360 bird species and the zebra. If you want you can do the safari on a horse. (This is optional and not included in the price).
Find out during your safari about the stubborn brothers and how the name is given to this park. Walk between the Zebras or ride on the back of a horse. Experience the wildlife in different ways before you leave.
In the morning we leave for Entebbe. So after all the discoveries you have made its time to travel back home so you can share your experiences of wildlife and nature. If you want to fly on this day arrange a flight after 10pm. In case needed we can arrange accommodation for you, but this is not included in this package. We will take care you arrive on time.
