5 Days Lake Mburo Lake Bunyonyi and Bwindi

The guide will pick you from the hotel early morning after breakfast. He will drive you along the beautiful scenery of Uganda as you head to south western Uganda. You will enroute at Kayabwe where you will take amazing pictures at the equator. A water experience will be done for you to prove to you that you are at both hemispheres. Continue towards the south western part and have a lunch enroute at Mbarara. After which you will drive ahead to the hills and beautiful terraced gardens of the Kigezi region. Arrive at the park check in and have dinner and over night at the lodge.

Head to the headquarters after an early morning breakfast where you will be briefed in a group of 8 tourists and given a guide to lead you through the trekking. Gorilla tracking is once in a life time experience, hanging out with mountain gorillas is one of the most thrilling wildlife encounters in the world. The chances of finding the gorillas are guaranteed. The trekking can take you more than five hours depending on where the Gorillas last made their movements. The path is often steep and slippery in this case you need to be in a reasonable enough shape otherwise hiring a potter who can lend a hand is very important and also moving with the walking sticks. After tracking. a return to the headquarters , eat your packed lunch as you wait for your Gorilla tracking certificate. Depending on the time you return after tracking, you can either do nature walk or a cultural tour.

Drive via kigezi areas (famously known as the Switzerland of Africa) because of its beauty. Head to the wonderful magnificent lake Bunyonyi one of the most beautiful lakes In Uganda. Bunyonyi is a magical spot that is worth visiting by any tourist that comes to Uganda. Lake Bunyonyi is a Bilhazia –free lake with no crocodiles and hippos is very ideal for swimming is very safe.  This is the best spot to be in after the strenuous Gorilla tracking in Bwindi. Activities to be done here include  swimming, canoeing, sun bathing , nature walks all activities meant for relaxation plus sight viewing as this is the most beautiful lake in Uganda . . Drive to lake Mburo national park in the morning after breakfast. Driving around lake Mburo national park is an increasing common stop on the safari circuit since it’s the only place in southern Uganda to see zebra. The only park in the country to see Impala, slender mangoose and giant bush rat. Other animal species include Bush pigs, warthogs, hippos, leopard, buffaloes, side-stripped jackal and numerous smaller predators and so much more. You will also enjoy a boat or nature walk depending on the time. Dinner and overnight at kimbala –mantana lake Mburo camp for luxury/arcadia cottages for midrange/Rwonyo rest camp for budget.

Take an early morning breakfast and go for a half day game drive. After which you will drive to Kampala. Have lunch enroute and stop at Mpambire drum making village. Where you will be able to see all sizes of drums, learn their cultural significance and buy some of the handcrafts there. Your tour ends when dropped at your hotel in Kampala.
