BEST TIME FOR GORILLA TREKKING.

Gorilla trekking this is a popular Eco-friendly activity that involves hiking through dense tropical rain forests to observe and interact with gorilla in their natural habitat.it involves walking on foot through steep hills, dense forest, and water streams searching for the gorilla families.

During gorilla trekking activity once a gorilla family is being seen strictly one hour is being given to come close to them at seven meters away, however during the gorilla habituation visitors are given four hours observing the gorillas in their natural habitat.

The best time for gorilla trekking is during the dry season because its much darling compared to the rainy season. Dry season is considered as the peak season for spotting mountain gorillas. However, the activity is done through out the year, because these parks are open all year round where the gorillas are found these parks are  and mgahinga national park in Uganda.

The dry season is always around mid-December to early February and from June to August, characterized with minimal rainfall and warm temperatures ranging between 25 C(77F) to 28C (82.4F). These are the most preferred months for trekking in Uganda because the walking trails in the forest are drier and less muddy to navigate through.

Dry seasons is the best time for gorilla trekking because the roads are clear and access to the wilderness is easy, hence there are high chances of spotting gorillas near oases and those at narrow vegetation enhances its clarity.

To the smaller extent also some tourists can engage into gorilla trekking in the rainy seasons, this usually happens from march to May and from September to November and its considered as low season during these months there are high chances of receiving rainfall in plenty, and it has some positive impacts to tourists.

During rainy season its regard as low season because tourism destinations receive few visitors, so tourists are offered discounts on the accommodation facilities and tour operates offer gorilla permit discount hence an advantage to travelers.

Few visitors engage in to the gorilla trekking activity during rainy season so it’s a good period for those tourists who prefer private enjoyments, with few crowds in the forest hence making the sighting of gorillas so easy.

IN CONCLUSION

Gorilla trekking this is a unique and delightful activity that can be done throughout the year, however its better to be done during the dry months of the year because of its much advantages associated, compared to the rainy season with much rainfall in the tropical rain forests of Bwindi impenetrable national forest and Mgahinga national park.
